Jonen and Sam Sam Time

March 12, 2019

The last month was full of surgeries (Jonen’s tonsils and Bran’s bone spur on his toe) and snow days (FIVE snow days!!). We have made it to March and are recovering and getting back into the rhythm of things. Some highlights from the past month:

Snow – Jonen got to build an igloo with a neighbor and sled and play a ton before he had his surgery. Samuel hated it…he would ask for hot chocolate the ENTIRE time we were outside.

Swim Lessons – Samuel LOVES them. Bran or I are in the pool with him and he is SOOO happy and laughing the entire time. Jonen is rocking them as well. He is learning strokes and looks forward to lessons.

Piano Lessons – Jonen LOVES the piano. He actually practices everyday and he is learning to read music. It is great. His teacher is one of the kindest/most patient people. (Samuel love to play trains while Jonen practices.)

Talking – Samuel has already graduated from speech therapy. He is talking so much better. He loves to exert his power by saying “no” to everything first (even things he wants). He now says, “I Sam Sam.” He always points to his school and says, “my school”.

Potty Training – Samuel rocks it. He has had like 5 days at school with no accidents. We went over to a friends house on Sunday, and he was so excited to see new toys that he did have an accident. Usually, he is very good about going in the “heavy” potty, not the “baby” potty.

Counting – We’re working with the boys on counting to 5 when they are frustrated. We’re trying to minimize them hitting each other. Samuel can actually count to 10 AND he can subtract. Jonen likes teaching him.

My fav pics of the boys right now:
